Basic poses are introduced to move the body safely through it's healthy range of motion. Some students take the class in a chair and others without support. There are many ways to practice and all are welcome.
You must be 55 or older and a member of the Glocester Senior Center to join this class.
Beginners welcome! Appropriate for beginner and anyone looking for a slower pace. You will learn the basic postures and principles and build on what you learn each week.
For students with some yoga experience. Standing poses, forward extending poses, restoratives and inversions (where appropriate) are taught in this series.
For students who are strong in standing poses and can hold downward facing dog for at least 3 minutes. Forward extensions, back extensions, arm balancing and variations in inversions are introduced as well as other complimentary poses.
Students across all levels can participate, providing a challenge for those with experience and including modifications when needed.
